Mo-Ti Productions is an Austin based film production company driven by a two-fold mission: Working with the brightest and best in the business – and nurturing the energy and dreams of upcoming talent. Mo-Ti was inspired by Motzu, the visionary Chinese philosopher and engineer, who was the first to describe the magic of light passing through a pinhole – and creating an image on a wall. He anointed the space where the image was formed: It was “The Collecting Room.”
Mo-Ti is collecting a visionary team devoted to crafting films that stir viewers to think about and see the world in a new way. Our work is anchored in historical documentary about pivotal protagonists who sculpted U.S. politics and culture – riveting figures that we rediscover and bring to life. Too, we are devoted to illuminating the Iraq and Afghanistan wars - and exploring hidden but compelling issues and realms.
Right now, In Mo-Ti’s “collecting room,” our master storytellers are working to inspire audiences to reflect deeply on -- and maybe even act on – the profound people and issues that shape our very world.
